"Your finances are yours: 'My money, my data.'" At Outbank, data protection is a top priority. That is why Outbank has always consistently implemented the zero knowledge principle: All financial data is stored in encrypted form on the users' end devices. Only they can decrypt them with their master password. The data exchange with the banks and between the devices is always encrypted using AES encryption, the world's most secure encryption standard.
In order to offer secure transfers at all times, Outbank has developed the »Active Certificate Pinning« security mechanism. Outbank checks the integrity of the more than 4,000 bank certificates several times an hour. If a certificate is identified as invalid, communication is immediately interrupted for security reasons.
