Benny Fajarai, Co-Founder of Lifepal.co.id, explained, "In short, what is meant by a third party is another party who has suffered a loss, either to his car or himself, or is a victim in an accident."

Benny also said that the majority of the public were more familiar with Total Loss Only (TLO) and All Risk protection when choosing vehicle insurance without further checking on TJH III coverage.

"Therefore, it is recommended that the option of TJH III coverage would be better if it is included in the purchase of insurance so that the insurance company can provide compensation for losses suffered by other people due to our negligence." Benny suggested.

TJH III submission

Benny added that there are several things that need to be known regarding the TJH III submission process:

1. Reports to the company must be submitted within 3 x 24 hours after the incident. So, immediately take care of TJH III, don't delay.

2. Submit documents related to the claims of third parties aka the people we hit. An example of this document can be seen in the police.

3. We are prohibited from promising anything, including giving the impression that a third party acknowledges the liability.

4. Delegating power to the company to handle third party claims.

5. Third party cars are not insured.

6. The incident did not occur during a campaign, a crime, learning to drive, towing another vehicle, or a disaster/riot.

"Of course, of the six mechanisms above, the most important thing to look at first is the fifth point. If the third party car has been covered by insurance, we cannot or do not need TJH III because automatically the loss from the vehicle has been borne by the relevant insurance company," concluded Benny.
